Web Application Developer - Ruby on Rails: Part-Time (5-15 hours/week)
The Uyiosa Corporation is a technology firm specializing in product development and consulting. We're currently developing several products and we're looking for additional web-based software developers to join the team, part-time for now with the option of becoming full-time after the current round of funding is completed. Compensation is in the form of equity and a deferred salary bonus. You will be able to work remotely. The criteria is listed below. Requirements for the software development position are:
- Passion for writing beautiful, correct code rather than just hacking
- Excellent knowledge of Ruby on Rails
- Familiarity with Test/Behavior-Driven Development or willingness to learn
Applicants for the software development position receive bonus points for experience with:
- RDF and RDF triple-stores
- OpenID
- Asterisk
- GIS applications
- AJAX
- CSS
- XHTML
- SMS
- Artificial Intelligence, including libraries such as WordNet
Note that experience means that the candidate has actually implemented a solution, even something small.
